Gunkers, Imulsion-infected Boomers, are the biggest of the bipedal Lambent creatures. They are able to launch large explosive balls of Imulsion long distances. These balls of Imulsion do a large amount of damage to the player and generally go fast enough to always damage the player in a close enough range. The solution for this is hiding behind large cover like walls, large storage crates, or cars though they can still throw over or next to cover with massive accuracy. In addition to their long range Imulsion attack they can also strike closer opponents by stretching a cleaver tipped tentacle. Often this results in going into the 'down, but not out' state or coming very close. Around three or four clips of Lancer rounds to the body will kill a Gunker, but the best way is to use 2 or 3 rounds from a boomshot or tourque bow then open fire with your lancer. Upon death they explode in a three stage explosion that increases in size and brightness with each subsequent explosion.
